Brooke & 'billy blood drop'
_BROOKE ELLIS CORNWELL
was born 2/11/2005....with a rare Terminall illness Called
DIAMOND BLACKFAN ANEMIA
This was a major blow for my family that we had to watch this beautiful baby girl go through so much pain. Having to watch her be accessed every 3 weeks was traumatising for both brooke and us, she couldnt understand and was too young to know why she was going through what she was.
she also had to be operated on for her cleft palate and triphalangeal Hands to set them right which i can pleastantly say they all were a sucess. Brooke never once complained about the pain she was in or going through with these operations all she knew was that they were going to make her better.
As brooke grew up so did her personality if you were lucky enough to have her trust she would shower you with love, i call her my dinky dot my brooketini because she is alot smaller than children her age and has the cutest lil feature similar to that of a primordial dwarf.
we have been to the Diamond black fan medical conference twice and have done all we can to raise the awarness of her condition and the awareness of giving blood, because if the blood runs out Brooke will die we have been to local papers .
She has had a biopsy done on her bone marrow to see if there is any way that she will start to make the the Blood cells herself with no luck, we even saved the core blood of her younger sibling felicity umbilical cord as this can sometime be used to help find a cure unfortunatly felicity was not a match.
